High Park Fire Update: June 9 at 6 PM (#HighParkFire)

Information from High Park Fire Public Information Officer:  June 9 at 6 PM


High Park Fire is currently at 2,000 to 3,000 acres with 0% containment.

A pre-evacuation alert for the area on Buckhorn Road between mile markers 25 and 27, including Cougar Dr, Cougar Den Place, Bighorn Drive and Moose Ridge Drive.  Residents in this area are asked to be prepared to evacuate in the event that the High Park Fire moves to the east of where it is currently burning. 


Six structures have been confirmed damaged in The Old Flowers Road area and there are some residents from this area whose whereabouts are unknown..  We are trying to confirm their location at this time.  More detail on structure damage will be available when it is safer for firefighters to go into the area.


One firefighter was taken non-emergent by ambulance out of the area for heat exhaustion.

2 heavy air tankers with 2 more on order
