Department of Natural Resources Announces Wildfire Risk Reduction (WFRR) Grant Program


The Colorado Department of Natural Resources is now accepting applications for a new Wildfire Risk Reduction Program. This program provides $9.8 million in grant funding to reduce the risk of damage by wildfire to property, infrastructure, and water supplies as well as protect those residing in the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI).

Local governments, community groups, utilities, state agencies and non-profit groups are eligible to receive funding. Applicants are required to contribute 100% matching funds for a 50-50 grant-to-match ratio, in-kind match is allowable under this program.
