State EOC monitoring flash flooding potential for Waldo Canyon burn scar

The State Emergency Operations Center participated in a special weather conference call with Pueblo NWS office this morning. 

Flash Flooding Outlook

The chance of rain on the Waldo Burn Scar in the next 24 hours is 95%.

The potential for flash flooding is 70%.

Rainfall rates up to 2" per hour are possible.  The greatest potential is from 1400 today to 0300 tomorrow with continuing rain to Noon tomorrow.  

This is all due to an east flow system. 

The State Emergency Operations Center has notified all the Emergency Response Coordinators with Emergency Support Functions 1, 8, 12, 13, 15, National Guard, Red Cross, and Command & General Staff on alert.
