From May 24-25, 2010, the Colorado Hospital Association will be hosting the Colorado Mass Fatality Summit for hospital staff and community partners to coordinate with emergency managers and coroners, to share lessons learned in hospital/community planning, to collaborate on facility-specific hospital mass fatality plans and to link regional resources.
Specifically, the summit will: provide a venue for educational exchange on coroner, emergency management and hospital mandates and statutes; to facilitate workshops to enhance integrated hospital/community planning and gap identification; to provide a working forum for hospitals to create, update or modify a facility-specific hospital mass fatality plan that meets the needs of the their community partners; and to link regional resources and best practices among hospitals and their community partners.
For more information or to register, see the Conference flyer or contact Kerri Martinez, Colorado Hospital Association, at (720) 330-6042 or at kerri.martinez@cha.com.
I really think that a summit is a great idea. It'll actually help support the lifestyle of the people.

I think this is a great move by the hospital and the people involved. By conducting a summit, they can tackle all the important things that must be applied to manage the hospital effectively.

Summits like these increase awareness and provide a venue for information dissemination, allowing new technologies and procedures to be shared for everyone's benefit. Thumbs up.

They should organize a repeat of the event. It's good to have discussions to foster the health standards.
