Map of Colorado Fire Restrictions and Bans

This map is maintained by the Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management with the help of city and county emergency managers and sheriffs.



The map can be found every day on the Fire Bans tab.

The area in green has some level of fire restrictions enacted.  Click on each county for links to additional information.

Google Crisis Map Colorado Flooding May 2015


 

This Google Crisis map shares information from a variety of feeds including:

  • National Weather Service/NOAA
    • River Gauges
    • River Gauge Forecast
    • Real Time Radar
    • River Flood Outlook
    • Daily Precipitation
    • Multiple Other Weather Feeds
  • Public Alerts
  • US Red Cross Shelters
  • Impacted Jurisdictions / Activated Emergency Operations Centers
You can turn layers on or off depending on what data you are looking to view.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the map and click on "layers"
  • Select or deselect the layers you want to view.
  • Depending on the strength of your internet connection some layers may take additional time to load. Depending on conditions some layers may not have any relevant data for Colorado areas.
Follow your local emergency response agencies to learn the most accurate information for your area.

Colorado Flooding May 2015 Public Information Map

This map shows jurisdictions impacted by flooding in May 2015 from May 9- to present.

  • Yellow points show jurisdictions with emergency operations centers that are currently activated to monitor and assist with flood response and recovery.
  • Blue points show jurisdictions that were had activated emergency operation centers either physically or virtually. Many of these jurisdictions continue to monitor conditions virtually.

Information included in this map is pulled from public information updates posted by official agencies on their social media accounts, websites and WebEOC.

Click on each point to view links where the most current information can be found for each jurisdiction.

Current Colorado Wildfire Map

The Current Colorado Wildfire Map has been updated to share information on the Teller County grass fire.  At this point we only have an approximate location for the fire, however, the shelter information is up to date.


Fire Restriction Information

Information on Colorado fire restrictions or bans has been update as of July 2, 2014.   This website includes links to each county where the most current information on fire restrictions will be located.  It also contains links to the U.S. Forest Service and BLM Forest webpages for information on restrictions on federal lands.  Please remember that fireworks are not permitted on the federal forest lands. 

The map below can also help you determine if fire restrictions may be in place.  The gray counties have not reported fire restrictions to the Colorado DHSEM. Fire restrictions can change from day to day.  Please check directly with the jurisdiction you are visiting for the most current information.  This map is provided as a resource to those living and visiting Colorado.  The fire restrictions are determined by the local jurisdiction.

Please view current fire restriction information for the Colorado counties on our COEmergency Fire Ban and Fire Danger Page.

The yellow on the map indicates the Statewide ban on open burn and private fireworks enacted by Governor Hickenlooper.

The red on the map indicates fire restrictions that the individual county has enacted that are greater than the Statewide restrictions.  Click on the county to view available press releases containing details for  the Stage I or II restriction information.
