High Park Fire burning in the Paradise Park area of Larimer County. Buckhorn Road and Cougar Road Area.
40-50 acres and growing rapidly. Original report came in at 5:54 a.m.
Evacuations have been ordered for Paradise Park Road, Moose Horn Lane, Magic Lane and Spencer Mountain Road. 43 notifications sent (not homes but notifications).
Evacuation Center is Cache La Poudre Middle School at 3515 West County Road 54G in Laporte. Please Note: The original evacuation notice indicated Stove Prairie School. This has changed to Cache La Poudre.
Single engine air tanker, Type 1 light helicopter, Type 3 helicopter and Air Attack Command plane on scene or ordered.
There are structures in the area.
Cause is unknown at this time. Appears to be on both private and Forest Service land.
Type 2 management team has been ordered.

Stuart Hole Fire - Final Update

The Stuart Hole Fire area received about a 1/4" of rain last night helping firefighters with their operations today. The fire is now estimated at 95% containment with full containment expected by this evening.
Crews will continue working on mop-up operations and repair work today.
There are about 23 firefighters working the fire today.
There will be no aircraft on scene today.
All road restrictions have been lifted; however, residents and visitors are
requested to use caution as there will still be emergency vehicles in the
area.
Residents are also advised that fire crews have marked hazardous trees with
colored ribbon. These marked trees should be avoided as they are
dangerous.
No injuries have been reported. Latest cost estimate is $324,000.
The Type 3 management team will transition the fire back to Larimer County
Emergency Services tonight where it will go on patrol status.
The Stuart Hole Fire was caused by lightning and was first reported on
Monday, June 4 at about 12:30 p.m. in the area of CR82E and CR80C. The fire
reached a size of 227 acres. Evacuations of 13 homes in the Boxer Ranch Road
area were ordered on Monday but were lifted on Tuesday. Two to three out
buildings were damaged by the fire.
Residents can expect to see smoke in the area for several days.
Unless conditions change significantly, this will be the final update for
this fire.

Stuart Hole Fire Update

The cause of the Stuart Hole Fire has been determined to be lightning. Latest
size figure is 227 acres with 45% containment. No additional structures have been
reported damaged other than the two to three out buildings previously reported.
No injuries reported.
The evacuations remain in place.
The media briefing scheduled for this evening has been changed. The
briefing will now occur at 8:30 p.m. at the Livermore Fire Department located at
311 CR74E in Livermore. Media outlets are asked to stage no later than 8:00 p.m.
Tonight's briefing will include the latest updates from the command briefing
being held earlier. A press release with the same information presented at the
press briefing will be sent out around the same time.

Stuart Hole Fire Information Update

The latest information for the Stuart Hole Fire shows approximately 227 acres involved now. GPS mapping is helping get a better number. We are still at 0% containment. No reports of additional structures damaged other than the two to three out buildings previously reported.
The Type 1 helicopter has arrived and is working with the Type 3
helicopter, and the Single Engine Air Tanker. An Air Attack control plane is
also working the fire.
The U.S. Forest Service Roosevelt Hotshots have arrived to fight the fire
as well as the Canon City Crew made up of inmate workers.

A media tour of the fire area is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. this afternoon,
leaving from the site of the media briefings at CR80C and CR82E.
Reports from the scene indicate that the predicted winds are starting to
occur. Winds are expected to reach 30 to 40 mph this afternoon.
